Scott Turow, author of  “Presumed Innocent” as well as other notable bestsellers including the recent “The Last Trial,” joins the lineup Friday, April 9, at 5 p.m. on BOOKISH, the virtual salon-style program by the Southern California News Group featuring literary and cultural conversations with authors and performers. Hosted by author, performer and NPR commentator Sandra Tsing Loh, the program also features authors Tod Goldberg talking about his new murder thriller collection “The Low Desert”; Nina Lorenz Collins, a former literary agent and founder of What Would Virginia Woolf Do?; and playwright and author Jean Hanff Korelitz, whose novel “You Should Have Known” was the basis for the recent HBO series “The Undoing.” The BOOKISH program uses the Zoom platform. To register and receive a link, go to socalnewsgroup.com/virtual programs. Also on that page, there are links to all the past BOOKISH programs, which have featured many notable talents talking about their works, including Peter Frampton, Michael Connelly, Jeff Kinney, Walter Mosely, Arden Myrin, Marilu Henner and others. Or check out the YouTube page to watch. Then BOOKISH returns on April 23 will showcase author, activist and actress Marlo Thomas along with Peter Sagal, host of the NPR show “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me.” Source: https://www.dailynews.com/
